Welcome to Volunteerism—a youth-led platform dedicated to turning environmental passion and civic duty into real-world impact. We believe that the energy, creativity, and drive of today’s youth are the ultimate forces for a sustainable tomorrow.
Volunteerism is a collective space for like-minded young people who refuse to sit on the sidelines. We are a network of advocates, educators, and change-makers united by a shared mission: to build healthier communities and a resilient planet through hands-on service.
We are Nosheen and Wasif — based in Canada, but our hearts and mission are rooted in Azad Kashmir. We believe the valleys, lakes, and forests of AJK deserve passionate protectors.
From cleaning the shores of Banjosa Lake to planting Deodar saplings on the slopes of Tolipeer — we are building a community of Kashmiris who take pride in their land. Aaish te Kashmir! 🌿
Cleaning plastic waste and pollutants from the shores of Banjosa — Rawalakot's crown jewel and AJK's most beloved lake.
Planting Deodar, Pine, and native species across Tolipeer meadows to restore AJK's legendary green highland canopy.
Educating communities in Jandali, Banjosa, and across AJK on recycling, waste separation, and keeping our sacred sites spotless.
Our key actions — from Banjosa Lake to the Deodar forests of Tolipeer
Monthly litter drives around Banjosa Lake, removing plastic and polythene bags that choke the shoreline and harm local wildlife.

Banjosa Lake, nestled among pine forests near Rawalakot, is one of Azad Kashmir’s most precious natural treasures. Yet growing tourist traffic, plastic waste, and unchecked littering threaten its crystal-clear waters and surrounding forest.
We organise shoreline cleanup drives and awareness campaigns for the thousands of visitors who arrive each summer and autumn.

This paradise belongs to its people. Every action we take is in service of Azad Kashmir's land, water, air, and future generations.
Real change comes from within. We empower local Kashmiris — young and old — to become guardians of their own environment.
We don't just talk about loving Kashmir — we show up with trash bags and saplings. Love without action is just poetry.
We plant trees whose shade we may never sit under. Sustainability means thinking in decades,
not days.
Azad Kashmir is not just a place — it's a responsibility. Let's clean it, green it, and keep it ours.
